Pause: Support for Women in Midlife

Midlife has a way of sneaking up on you. One minute you’re powering through meetings, juggling responsibilities, and answering messages with one hand while cooking dinner with the other — and the next, you’re staring down a strange mix of exhaustion, restlessness, brain fog, and the overwhelming sense that something’s shifted.
And yet, no one really talks about it.
That’s why we created Pause — a project built for women who are navigating this life stage and want support that’s honest, practical, and rooted in real experience.
Pause is a collaboration between me (Susie Bennett from Think Wellbeing) and Holly Skinner, a women’s health coach with over 20 years of experience in health and fitness, specializing in supporting women through midlife transitions. Holly offers personalized coaching, webinars, and courses focused on nutrition, movement, and lifestyle adjustments to help women manage symptoms and enhance overall well-being. hollyskinnercoach.com
It’s for women who are trying to make sense of hormonal changes, shifting identities, new pressures at work and at home — and who don’t want to just “cope,” but grow.
Here’s what we’re offering:
Pause Together
Once a month, we meet in Hove for a relaxed, two-hour group session. These are built around a theme — from nutrition and energy to emotional wellbeing, stress, purpose, or whatever’s coming up for the group.
The first half of the session is more focused — a mini workshop or discussion. The second is unstructured. You can chat, sit quietly, ask questions, or just be. It’s informal, warm, and incredibly grounding.

Pause to Listen

“Pause to Listen” will explore the reality of midlife — the good, the tough, and everything in between. We’ll share practical ideas, personal stories, and expert insights to help make sense of this stage of life, with warmth and humour.
Pause for Support
If you’re in a place where group support doesn’t quite cut it, Susie offers 1:1 coaching for emotional wellbeing. These sessions are about honesty, clarity, and gently finding a way forward.
Pause to Thrive
Holly offers 1:1 support focused on physical wellbeing — movement, nutrition, energy. It’s not about cutting things out or overhauling your life. It’s about tuning in to what your body actually needs.
